Violinist Molly Germer combines an advocacy of contemporary music-making with community arts and studio teaching. While completing her degree program at the Eastman School of Music, she piloted a community arts initiative with the Sound ExChange Project, bringing music into schools and public spaces throughout Rochester and Upstate New York. During this time, she accepted a full scholarship year to pursue studies in music cognition, education, and collaborative arts at the University of Rochester. As a member of various ensembles, Molly has taught masterclasses and composer workshops at Manhattan School of Music, Columbia University, University of North Carolina, Syracuse University, Cornell, Ithaca, Illinois State University, University of Illinois Urbana Champagne, and Illinois College.
